Lee Roy ("Pete") Werbelow passed away April 13, 2021. He was born in Emblem, Wyoming on May 26, 1943, the fourteenth of 14 children to Martin and Ella (Blank) Werbelow. From an early age Pete had a passion for nature and the great outdoors. Camping and fishing trips were his favorite pastimes. Daytime fishing and regaling fellow campers with his stories and tall tales around a nighttime campfire were Pete's paradise. Pete worked for the Wyoming Department of Transportation and farmed for his brothers George and Delbert ("Joe") on the Emblem Bench. After retiring, Pete kept busy gardening and maintaining an impeccable yard.

Pete is survived by his four children: Richard Werbelow (Linda Werbelow) of Billings, Montana; Teresa Werbelow of Gillette, Wyoming; Troy Werbelow of Gillette, Wyoming; and LeeAnn Werbelow of Albuquerque, New Mexico; as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is also survived by three of his siblings: Luella ("Becky") Henderson of Greybull, Wyoming; Clarence Werbelow of Powell, Wyoming; and Jean Werbelow of Los Gatos, California.

A funeral services and visitation will be held 6:00 p.m., Friday, April 23, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Emblem, Wyoming. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, at the Emblem cemetery, Emblem, Wyoming.
