Funeral services for Mrs. Thompson L. Alliston, 89, resident of Rt. 3, Florence, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from First Baptist Church, Florence with Rev. M. R. Bradley, her pastor, officiating. Internment will follow in the Florence Cemetery.
Mrs. Alliston died late Friday night at a local nursing home after an extended illness. 
She was a native and life long resident of Rankin County, a member of the First Baptist Church of Florence, and was very active in church work and WMU.  
The former Lillie Belle Lowther, she was the daughter of   
 the late John B. and Amanda Lane Lowther. Her husband, Thompson Lysnaders Alliston preceded her in death on Oct. 27, 1965.
 Her only survivors are a sister-in-law, Mrs. Berry Lowther, and a brother-in-law, Vaughn Alliston, both of Florence, and several nieces and nephews. 
Friends may call at Wright and Ferguson until 9:30 a.m.
Monday.
