Bio

Years Ago I ran across the site while researching my Dad's side ,found an actual photo of my deceased grandfather
(I never knew )
along with finding a wonderful cousin connected to the photo and this site as well .
I give back to FindAGrave very often by placing info on the memorials I'm researching and even some that I find while looking for someone ,I also spend the time connecting them w as many family members as possible in the cemetery and etc and leaving obits from time to time
When I do this I leave a flower and write out what I have done on the memorial If this offends you please KINDLY let me know and out of respect for your request I will take my edit of writ off your memorial and leave the flower after all it's family and in memory ! Please no threatening email , it takes all of us to make Findagrave work. You might manage the memorial or even photograph it but people like me take a lot of time to leave obits ,connect families together and leave important information on your memorials it's called "History"

I also try to help with transcribing memorials on their Site as well ( every bit helps)
I have this dogged belief within me,
that people from our past should be remembered, whether it be
by a thought,research , genealogy ,and or history .
A passing along of info of that person or just simply placing a flower on their grave or memorial .They all deserve it, for it was them after all ,who started us on a journey from point A to where we are right now..To me that is worth Remembrances.

Im the blessed one on my side of the family I have been the family historian and genealogical Researcher for abt 28 yrs..off and on..plus ..
Guess some of us are born asking the question "Where did we come from ? " which sets us off on a journey ,to find & discover all that we can on our lineage..

My Eckford Tree is still being researched by me I started in my late 20s , it can and has been traced back to Innerleithen Peebles Scotland to the 1640s ,Marsales,Lane's & etc Harper's,Gravatt are other families in my tree I'm also working on (Genealogy,it goes on and on .There is never a stopping point, the trees are always growing …new branches and leaves to add.)

I'm also working on my husband's family "Lowther "and it's branches as well.
I manage a good many of their graves because they are linked to family,
along with Eckford memorials because this too is my Family.

*I add a lot of my research ,newspaper clippings and even photos on my memorials ,this is my way of helping another fellow genealogist and or a family member
I do this because it helps people in their search some people cannot get on a newspaper site to spend hours and hours trying to find a loved one ,I do The newspaper clippings I leave usually have the name of the paper, the date and of it was found on I write them on the top of the obituaries myself w initials SL on the bottom
The only thing I ask of the person downloading the photo ,clipping ,and or bio info that I place on a memorial
…..Is that my name goes with it as a source, if I spend hours looking for a certain person on newspapers it is my research along w the paper so that makes me it's source as well
It states this clearly on their memorials

Because after all it is my time ,my work ,money and my love of family I pour into my research so please respect that and put or leave my name w what you are taking away with you….

*If you need to add something to one of my memorials use the edits
If it is correct I will add it in

* Most of my memorials I manage
are all connected w our families
but I have either made a few on my own or had them placed in my care from Findagrave edits on their memorials
The few that are not
I will transfer if you are family

*I would like to personally thank so many Findagrave photographers who go out and take photo upon photo of different cemeteries, or even the ones of their own families, these people not only are preserving each grave for the future, for family members to find, or a searching genealogist to see dates and places of birth & death ,but they are also helping to keep that grave visible,a lot of cemeteries fall into despair and some headstones crumble, are vandalized or grown over by debris or grass …Time can be an enemy… take that photo while you can write down what you know on that memorial ,one day ,it will mean the world to someone else…Preservation is the key..
