Howard was the 8th of 8 children of John Wesley Yerian and Emma Frances Wyatt.
He married on January 11, 1923, Jackson County, Ohio, to Rosa Marie Hayth.

YERIAN RITES ON SATURDAY
Funeral services will be held Satuday for Howard (Coonie) Yerian, 78, who died Thursday at 2:30 a.m. at Holzer Medical Center. His death followed several months of failing health.
Born in Jackson county, he was a lifetime county resident making his home in Liberty township on Jackson route three. He was a retired coal miner at Jisco; a member of the United Mine Workers and Wesley United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Hayth Yerian; two sons, Loren Yerian of Jackson and Warren J. Yerian of Jackson route three; three daughters: Carolyn Lorbach of Jackson, Mrs. Glenna Paugh of Wayne, West Virginia and Mrs. Mary Lee
Wickline of Circleville; thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Peggy Ann Perry, and an infant son, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Eisnaugle f uneral home where the Revs. Samuel Stover and Waid Radford will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m., Saturday.
Burial will follow in Evergreen cemetery at Leo.
