Mr. Jessie Ray Johnson, age 86, a resident of Clayton, died Friday April 2, 2021 at the Southeast Health in Dothan.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday April 6, 2021 at the Clayton City Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home of Clayton directing. The family will be receiving friends prior to the service from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Glover Funeral Home in Clayton.

Mr. Johnson was born on August 13, 1934 in Clayton the son of Gussie Johnson and Rena Bell Bass Johnson. Mr. Johnson was known for kind-gentle personality. He was outgoing and never complained about anything. After his retirement from Louisiana Pacific, he helped operate Clayton Floral. He loved gardening, turkey hunting, and fishing. Mr. Johnson was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Billy Johnson and Gary Johnson; 3 sisters, Gussie Bell Sheppard, Edith Biggs, and Lucille Barfield.
