Barfield, Mrs. Lucille Doris age 86, a resident of Millbrook, AL. passed away on March 13, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral services for Mrs. Barfield will be held on Sunday March 16, 2014 at 2 p.m. from Mt. Hebron West Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Mullins and Rabbi John Giddens officiating. The interment will follow at the Brookside Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 5 to 7 pm at Brookside Funeral Home. Mrs. Barfield was a member of Mt. Hebron West Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters Thomasana B. Dunning (Roger), Cecile Meacham (James) Grandchildren Michael J. Mathews (Amy), Jonathan B. Mathews, Michelle D. Chiles (Andrew), Melissa A. Dunning, Great Grandchildren Vincent Mathews, Charles Mathews. Sisters Mary Ellen DeBolt, Opal McLeod (Joe). Brother Leon Johnson (Lenora), Ray Johnson (Betty).
Preceded in death by her husband Charles Thomas Barfield, Parents Augusta Johnson and Rena Belle Bass, Sisters Edith Walls Biggs, Gussie Belle Shepard, Mavis Dean Johnson, Brothers Gary Johnson and Billy Johnson, Great Grandchild Michael Lucas Mathews.
Pallbearers will be Michael Mathews, Jonathan Mathews, William Mathews, Jerry Dunning, Andrew Chiles. Alternate Pallbearers Joe McLeod, Vincent Mathews.
