Daughter of Peter Hetzel & Catherine Thomas.
Wife of John Snapp, married January 24, 1822 Montgomery Co, OH.
Elizabeth Maria Hetzel was born into a very religious family. Her parents orginized and build the Hetzel-Salem Church that first held services in their 12X18 log home. Later a building was erected. It is on the National Registery of Historic Buildings. Although John Snapp had owned a large farm and two buisness's in St. Paris, he died broke. This left Elizabeth in dire straights and she lived with one of her daughters.

Father was Johannes Peter Hetzel "War of 1812" and mother, Catherine Margaretha Thomas. Johannes' parents were John Peter Hetzel REV WAR and Anna Catherine Balmer.
