Bio
All the people I record are my family with the exception of Dateland Fort in Arizona where an entire regiment were killed by the Indians. Recording that one was my pleasure. I also recorded Bethel Cemetery, DeKalb Co., Missouri as most of my mothers family are there. I kept only mine.

My oldest Great Grandfather, 11th was JOHN DODD whose famiy used DODSON, came over with his brother in-law John Smith in 1607 to establish a colony in Jamestown, Virginia. They arrived on the ship "Constant Susan'. He married Jane Dier who was also on a ship that came almost 11 years after and was a "Mail Order Bride". If you know your history, almost all of them died within a very few years but he did not. ***John Dodd did not marry an indian woman like he was reported to do. It was all in the manifest of the second ship as to who each woman was to marry at arrival.***
MY QUAKER ANCESTORS WHO CAME ON SHIPS WITH WILLIAM PENN:
Giles Knight "Society of Bristol" 1682 & wife Mary English
Joseph English "Society of Bristol" 1682-Marys father
David Fairbanks & wife Ann
Thomas Paschall "Society of Bristol" 1682 & wife Joanna Sloper
Thomas M. Paschall "Society of Bristol"
Wiliam Troth & wife Isabelle Harrison
Charles Plumley & Margarey Page bef. 1682
"Society of Bristol"
William Plumley & Elizabeth Thompson bef. 1682
"Society of Bristol"
(it is possible that they all were on the "Society" and stuck together after the trip. I marked the ones that for sure were on the Society. All were my ancestors) I do not know the meaning of the amp that was written before each wives names by the Quakers.
The "Society of Bristol" belonged to William Penn.
THE GIFT OF LIFE,A PRECIOUS GIFT, WE MORTALS TAKE FOR GRANTED, AND THOSE DEAR ONES WE LOVE SO MUCH IN OUR MEMORIES ARE IMPLANTED.
SO WE PASS OUR MEMORIES DOWN TO THOSE WE LEAVE BEHIND, AND TELL THEM OF OUR EARTHLY LOVE FOR THOSE WHO'VE BEEN SO KIND.
WE THINK OF THOSE BEFORE US, AS WE'RE STROLLING DOWN LIFE'S LANE, A DROP OF LOVE FROM EACH OF THEM FLOWS WARMLY THROUGH OUR VEINS.
THEY FOUGHT SO GALLANTLY IN WAR, BRAVELY SETTLED NEW FRONTIERS, TO MAKE OUR LAND A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE IN LATER YEARS.
OH YES! LIKE US, THEY MADE MISTAKES, AND SOMETIMES DELIBERATELY. ONCE THEY WERE YOUNG AND HUMAN, JUST LIKE YOU AND ME.
WHILE WANDERING THROUGH THE LIVES FROM WHOM WE HAVE BEGOTTEN, OUR OWN LIFE STORY COMES TO MIND. LEST WE TOO, BE FORGOTTEN.
AND WHEN OUR DAYS ARE OVER, OUR TIME ON EARTH IS SERVED, MAY OUR LIVES BE REMEMBERED, OUR MEMORIES BE PRESERVED.
ARRIVING AT THE PEARLY GATES, THE GOOD LORD SHOWS US IN. AND THEN HE TURNS TO US AND SAYS,
"PLEASE , MEET YOUR EARLY KIN."
DO WE LOWER OUR EYES AND DROP OUR HEADS, AND SAY TO HIM IN SHAME, "I'M SORRY SIR, IN MY MORTAL LIFE I NEVER HEARD YOUR NAME."
BUT NO! WE'LL RAISE OUR CHINS UP HIGH TO MEET HIS STEADY GAZE, AND SAY, "OH YES! I KNOW YOU FROM YOUR EARLY DAYS."
SOME WROTE THE STORY OF HOW YOU LIVED YOUR LIFE, OF HAPPINESS AND JOY, AND YES,SOMETIMES OF STRIFE.
MAY THE STORY OF LIFE CONTINUE OF THE OLDER ONES SO WISE, AS DESCENDANTS ARRIVE IN HEAVEN, OUR NAMES THEY'LL RECOGNIZE.
(Guess which ones we will be. And we have fun doing this too!!!)
I have loved this site but...I did not put my notes on it. I have and old tree, 2009, on rootsweb.com but there too I have regreted putting my notes. And my memorials---there are so many missing now because someone did not like my putting their military info on it. In that way, FAG has not proven to raise my opinion on people, they are a dissapointment.
A----- S-------- who I did share information at one time, also took my notes from my rootsweb site and put them on his site. To tell you that it hurt me is an understatement so, everything beyond this is not going to be put on a public site. Not giving credit to people who do research causes a lot of pain.
I AM REQUESTING THAT ALL MY MEMROIALS BE TURNED OVER TO TAMMY DIFFLEY WHITE IN THE EVENT OF MY DEATH. SHE IS MY DEAR COUSIN..
