MRS. KINKADE DIES AT
HOME OF SON IN GALENA
Galena, Kan., Sept., 1.—Mrs. Eva Kinkade, 57 years old, of Badger, Kan., died at the home of her son, Bert Kinkade, on East Sixth street, at 8:45 o'clock tonight, following an illness of four weeks. Death was due to stomach trouble.
Mrs. Kinkade was a native of Cherokee county and had been a resident of this district for 44 years, coming here from a farm near Columbus. She came to the home of her son here on Tuesday of this week, returning from a visit with a sister in Keystone, Okla.
She is survived by three sons, Bert Kinkade of this city, Leslie Kinkade, also of this city, who at present is in western Kansas, and Olin Kinkade of St. Louis, Mo.; three brothers, Floy Jacobs #22493606, Galena; R. H. Jacobs #22493610, Tulsa, Okla., and M. H. Jacobs, Crocker, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. J. M. Hildreth, Keystone, Okla.
Funeral arrangements have not been made pending word from relatives.

KINKADE FUNERAL TO BE
HELD AT GALENA TODAY
Galena, Kan., Sept., 3.—Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Kinkade, who died Saturday night, will be held from the home of her son, Bert Kinkade, No. 914 East Sixth street, at 3:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Burial will be in Galena cemetery.
Mrs. Kinkade was a native of Kansas, born in Browns (sic) county, Kan., in 1867. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Jacobs, coming to Cherokee county with her parents fifty-two years ago, and had spent practically all her life In this county. She had been a resident of Galena and Badger for forty-four years, and was a resident of Badger at the time of her death. She came to the home of her son here last week, following a visit to a sister in Keystone, Okla.
She was married to A. S. (sic) [L.] Kinkade in 1891 (sic), his death occurring [1911] twelve years ago. To this union five children were born, three of whom survive: Bert Kinkade, Galena; Leslie Kinkade, Badger, and Olen (sic) Kinkade, St. Louis. Mo.; three brothers and one sister.
She was converted at the age of 19, and had been an active member of the Christian church all her life.
