Gloria Martinez Montgomery was called home by the Lord Jesus Christ on March 11, 2021. She was born in Alvin, Texas, February 24, 1934 to Liborio Martinez and Teresa Salazar Martinez both preceded her in death. She is survived by her son Richard Montgomery and (Penny Montgomery), grandson Kyle Montgomery; daughter Elizabeth Montgomery and (Mike Balint), grandsons, Jared Montgomery and Mason Haywood; brothers and sisters: Hortence Mottu, Rev. Lydia Martinez, Ester Stanley, Bill Martinez and Lee Martinez, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved.

She was retired from Frito Lay, working at both their Houston and New Orleans locations. Gloria enjoyed cooking with family. Gloria loved to garden, she could plant a twig one day and it seemed that it was a tree the next day. She mastered the art of buying, redecorating and selling new homes. Gloria loved to spend time with family and friends. She was loved by everyone, and will be in everyone's heart forever as a kind and strong women.

Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert Montgomery, grandson Lee Montgomery, brother and sisters, Ignacia Aguirre, Johnny Martinez, Oscar Martinez, Victor Martinez, Carolina Gomez. Burial will be on April 3rd, 2021 at 1pm at Oak Park Cemetery in the Oak Park Chapel. Rev. Lydia Salazar Martinez will be officiating the Chapel services.
