Elmond R. Bietsch Sr., 76, of 1035 Mud Level Road, died at 11:54 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 1990, in Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Dec. 29, 1913, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Philip and Harriet John Bietsch.

He was a Protestant.

In 1976, he retired from Hoffman Mills, where he worked for more than 30 years.

Mr. Bietsch was a member of Shippensburg Senior Citizens; Chambersburg and Shippensburg Golden Age Clubs; and Loyal Order of Moose 842, Chambersburg. He also was a social member of Durff-Kuhn Post 6168 Veterans of Foreign Wars and a life member of Cumberland Valley Volunteer Firemen's Association and Goodwill Steam Fire Engine and Hose Company, Chambersburg.

Surviving are his wife, Mildred M. Weaver Bietsch; a son and two daughters, E. Ray Jr., Virginia M. Reisinger and Barbara A. Reisinger, all of Shippensburg; two brothers, Arthur of Sarasota, Fla., and Robert of Chambersburg; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
