Douglas Edward Eiland, Sr., age 94, passed away at home on Thursday, March 18, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was employed with the State of Alabama as a materials engineer for 34 years, and then founded and owned Quality Assurance Testing Laboratory Incorporated.
He loved the outdoors, fishing and enjoyed dove hunting. Doug was a loving Christian husband and father who was a faithful member at church and an encouraging friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen & Mae Eiland; and sisters, Hazel Briggs, Doris Norman.
Visitation will be at 12:30pm on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Leak Memory Chapel with a Graveside Service at 2:00pm at Greenwood Cemetery.
