Dale was born in Etowah County on April 4, 1952 . He worked for and retired from The Gadsden Police Department after 20 years. He was in the Army National Guard retiring after 33 years of duty including two tours in Germany. After returning home from his last tour, Dale went to work for the Etowah County Sheriff's Department where he retired after 10 years of service.

He was a valuable member and a faithful servant at Freedom Church. He loved the Lord, his family, food and Alabama football. Dale never met a stranger and seemed to know someone wherever he went. He would never want this to be a sad occasion because he knew where home would be. Let’s celebrate Dale’s love of life and remember in Dale’s words……”I love you more”.
