Jesse Robert 'JR' Beard was born and raised in Sylvania, Georgia. He had four brothers and one sister. All lived within 2 miles of each other all their lives. JR was a great fisherman. He was also great with wood work. He made many bread bowls from Tupelo wood and made crafts. He was a wonderful, kind person. Every summer he planted a huge garden, picked the vegetables and gave them to friends and family. He seldom ate from his own garden. He love to share and make others happy. He is greatly missed.
