Mrs. Annie Hammond Moore, 79, died Thursday, October 16 at the Grenada County Hospital. She was the widow of E. A. Moore.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the Duck Hill Presbyterian Church, and a former merchant of Duck Hill. She was a graduate of Kilmichael High School and attended M.S.C.W. Mrs. Moore was also an elementary school teacher.
She is survived by two sons, Earl A. Moore, Jr., Duck Hill, Hammond Moore, Franklin, Tn., five brothers, James Hammond, Houston, Tx., Frank Hammond, Abner Hammond, both of Marks, Ms., Arnold Hammond and Robert Hammond, both of Winona, two sisters Mrs. Louise Johnson, Winona, and Mrs. Katherine Blanton, Natchez and six grandchildren.
Services were held Friday October 17 at the Presbyterian Church in Duck Hill with burial in the Duck Hill Cemetery, with Dr. Russell Nunan officiating.
