Last rites were held for Henry Frank Hammond, 82, at the Winona First Baptist Church at three o'clock Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. W. R. Story of Itta Bena and Rev. C. B. Hamlet, III, of Winona conducting the services.

Mr. Hammond passed away Tuesday afternoon at his residence east of Winona. A successful farmer and esteemed citizen of the county, his passing is deeply mourned by his many friends.

Surviving the deceased are: Four daughters, Mrs. Earl Moore of Duck Hill, Mrs. M. H. Johnson and Mrs. Sam Noble of Winona, and Mrs. Louie Hughes of Kosciusko; five sons, Arnold Hammond, wholesale grocer and alderman of Winona, Robert Hammond with the U. S. Army in Iceland, Capt. James. Hammond, in the U. S. Army at Columbia, S. C.; Frank and Abner Hammond of Marks, Miss.
