From there, in 1935, he was in Kindersley, SK, where he is, once again, listed as a farmer. He is known to have made trips back and forth to his native France, before eventually settling down in the Greater Montreal region.
There, he eventually (prior to 1953) wed Marie Poliquin in what was his first and her second marriage. He worked with the CNR for several years, before retiring around the age of 65 in about 1963.
