In 1900 she and her husband and their daughter lived with her parents, five siblings, and a farm laborer, 28-year-old Samuel Chisholm, on a farm they owned, with a mortgage, in Grant Township, Osage County, KS.

In 1910 she and Edward and their son lived in a place they were renting in Healy, KS. He worked as an engineer on a steam plow.

In 1920 she and her husband, their three children, and his mother lived on a farm they were renting in Superior Township, Osage County, KS. In 1925 she and her three children lived in Osage City, KS. She worked as a telephone operator.

In 1930 she and her two youngest sons lived in a house they owned at 724 Ellinwood Street in Osage City. Their home was valued at $1100, and they did have a radio. She worked as a telephone operator.

In 1940 she lived in a place she was renting for $7.50 a month at 110 North Sixth Street in Osage City. She still worked as a telephone operator, with an income in 1939 of $496 for 52 weeks of work.

Mrs. Mary Hunsicker, 84, Osage City, died Tuesday at a nursing home in Topeka.
Born May 25, 1881 at Osage City she spent all her life in the Osage City community. She was a night telephone operator at Osage City 29 years.
She was a member of Methodist Church and Ruth Chapter No. 52, Order of Eastern Star, both at Osage City.
Her family included three sons, William Hunsicker, Kansas City, Mo., Evans, Emporia, and Mearl; a brother, David E. Kibbe, Hayward, Calif., eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her husband and 2 children
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Methodist Church, Osage City.
Mrs. Hunsicker will lie in state at the church from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday.

Burial in the Osage City Cemetery.
