Pauline A. “Polly” Koons, 97, formerly of East Hanover Township, Dauphin County passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville.
Born November 21, 1923 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Harvey Gerberich and Annie L. (Seaman) Hetrick. The widow of Glenn L. “Bud” Koons since August 1996, she was also preceded in death by siblings Jacob S. Gerberich, Mary G. Gerberich, Stella M. Eshleman, Irene E. Boyer and Eva E. Shifflet and grandson Casey J. Koons.
Retired from Hershey Entertainment and Resort Company, Polly also sold Avon for over 30 years. She was a member of Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, Palmyra and life member of Shellsville VFW Auxiliary.
Surviving are her daughter Gail L. Koons (Edward Williams, Jr., deceased); son Gary L., husband of Lyn Koons; grandchildren Jason L. Koons, Michelle L., wife of Chris Hollinger, Andrew T. Williams and Edward Williams, III (deceased); and great grandson Jameson Hollinger.
A viewing will be held 1:00 – 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Grantville followed by a 2:30 PM graveside service at Grantville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lebanon Valley Home, 550 East Main Street, Annville, PA 17003.
