Mary Ann Friedrich, age 83 of Clintonville passed away Sunday morning January 24, 2021 at Cherry Meadows in Appleton after a long battle with diabetes and health related complications.

Mary was born on May 18, 1937 in Oshkosh as the daughter of the late Clarence and Lillian (Benedict) Hunt. She grew up in the Oshkosh area and was united in marriage to Norman W. Friedrich, Sr. of Clintonville on November 10, 1956 in Winneconne. The couple moved to Clintonville in 1959 where they resided ever since. Mary worked at a local bakery and restaurant in town for a while and was a Dietary Aide at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation in Clintonville for over 10 years until her retirement. Her life revolved around her faith and her family. Mary was the quintessential homemaker; always making sure her family had home cooked meals. She and Norman raised their 6 children and always looked forward to family time. Mary enjoyed gardening, feeding and watching her birds, baking, and was very talented at drawing and painting. She was a member of Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville where she helped with VBS and was a member of the Christus Lutheran Church Women. Mary will be remembered for her love of her family and had a big heart when it came to helping others.

Survivors include:
Her Children: Steve (Sharen) Friedrich; Barb (Jim) Ebert; Jeff (Sherry) Friedrich; Sue (Dan) Friedrich; and Heather (Andy) Friedrich.

Grandchildren: Greg, Danielle, & Teressa Friedrich; Julie (Neil) & Josh (Teri) Ebert; Melissa Friedrich; Nicole (Josh) Biertzer; Gabbie, Gavin, A.J., & Serina Springborn; and Angie (Brad) Dillman.

Great-Grandchildren: Addisyn, Carter, Harper, Aubree, Ryder, Aida, Ilse, & Henrik.
A Sister: Shirley Roberts.
Brothers-in-law: Jim Borchardt & Dave Krueger.
Also numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Clarence & Lillian, her husband Norman Friedrich, Sr., a son Norman Friedrich, Jr., a sister Charlotte Krueger, a brother Clarence “Jimmy” Hunt, Jr., a sister-in-law Janet Borchardt, and brothers-in-law Arlen Friedrich & Doug Roberts.

Mary’s funeral service will be open to the public and held Thursday January 28, 2021 at 11 AM at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville with Rev. Brian Crocker officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service. Burial will follow at the Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established by Mary’s family. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
