Funeral services for Charles N. Holmes, 83, a prominent resident of Dunlap for half a century, who died Sunday afternoon at Methodist hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Prospect Presbyterian church in Dunlap.
Burial will be in Mt. Hawley cemetery. Friends may call at the Bouton memorial home in Princeville from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
Mr. Holmes was born in Medina township Jan. 25, 1869, a son of John and Lydia Holmes. He was the last member of the pioneer Holmes family, six brothers and three asters having receded him in death. He married Mable Dunlap at Dunlap Jan.23, 1896, and she died 23 years ago.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Maude F. Jackson and Mrs. Edna L. Schwab, both of Dunlap, and Mrs. Marjorie L. Hedrick of Rome; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
