He died Friday in his home.

In October 1963, he retired as an insurance agent after 53 years with the Empire Insurance Co. He was a member and ruling elder of Prentice Presbyterian Church.

Joseph C. Goetz, 4179 Arlington Blvd., died Friday in his home. He was 82.

He was an insurance agent for the Empire Insurance Co. for 53 years, retiring in 1963. He was a charter member of Prentice Presbyterian Church, of which he had served as an Elder.

Services: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Harry W. Moore Arlington Chapel; burial, Crown Hill.

Survivors: daughter, Miss Wilma Goetz, Indianapolis, and sons, Joseph O. Goetz, Indianapolis, and Lawrence Goetz, Morristown, N.J.

Joseph C. Goetz Rites Announced

Funeral services have been planned for Joseph C. Goetz, 82, of Indianapolis and will be in the Harry W. Moore Arlington Chapel, 5811 East 38th street. Burial will be made in Crown Hill cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel any time and are invited to attend the rites.

Death came to Mr. Goetz in his home, 4179 Arlington Blvd., Friday.

He was born in Brown county on March 8, 1883, and his parents were the late George and Martha Long Goetz. A former resident of Johnson county, he had lived in Indianapolis for 62 years.

Mr. Goetz was a member of the Prentice United Presbyterian church in the capital city.

The daughter, Miss Wilma Goetz, two sons, Joseph O. Goetz, of Indianapolis; Lawrence Goetz, of Morristown, N.J.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild are the survivors.

Mrs. Goetz died in 1938.

Joseph Goetz, 82, 4179 Arthington boulevard in Indianapolis, died Friday at his home there. He was a native of Brown county and a retired insurance agent.

He retired in 1963 from the Empire Insurance company after 53 years. He was a charter member of the Prentice Presbyterian church in Indianapolis and an elder of the church.

His parents were George and Martha Long Goetz. His wife, Mrs. Augusta Goetz, died in 1938. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Wilma Goetz of Indianapolis; two sons, Joseph Goetz of Indianapolis and Lawrence Goetz of Morristown, N.J., six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
