Ruth S. Waltermyer, 102, of Lebanon died, Friday, January 15, 2021 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Annville on July 17, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Clark and Sallie Deininger Shindel.
She was a nurses aide working for 20 years on the psychiatric ward at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.
Ruth was a member of the Annville High School Class of 1936, Living Waters Chapel since 1949 where she served as a Sunday school teacher, greeter, and a member of the Church Prayer Group and Prime Timers.
Surviving are two daughters Sandra Miller of Lebanon, Dawn Barr Deppen wife of Clarence Deppen of Todd, a son Stewart husband of Diane Waltermyer of Tunhannock, 6 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers Henry “Robert”, Ernest, Rodney, George, Clark, Mark Shindel, and three sisters June Evans, Martha Snyder, and Mary Cutman.
A Celebration of Life and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to Living Waters Chapel, 1900 Jay Street, Lebanon, PA 17046 in her memory.
