Mrs. Parker was a native of Warrenville, having made North Augusta her home for the past 70 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta, the American Legion Post #71 Auxiliary, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Order of the Eastern Star where she was initiated to the Constellation Chapter #97 in 1942 and served as the Worthy Matron from 1991-92 of the Golden Glow Chapter #76. Mrs. Parker was a former employee of the Graniteville Company, the University Hospital and retired from the Georgia War Veterans Home.
She was the wife of 45 years to the late Henry Hammond Parker.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Parker, Lexington, SC and Alton “Bo” Parker, North Augusta; two daughters, Carole (Jerry Becker) Parker, Augusta and Meg (Dave) Causey, Mauldin, SC; five grandchildren, Cara Parker, Parker Causey, John David Causey, Bruker Parker and Pepper Parker; six great grandchildren.
