THE LATE MRS. DR. HENRY

As we enter the path of the new year, whither these paths lead and to what they bring us, we know not. We are well and strong today, we may be ill and laid aside tomorrow.
It is hard to realize that the face so familiar to all will not be seen again in our midst.
Miss Nancy Lucas was born on Brookville, Pennsylvania, Oct. 11, 1828. In the year 1855, June 8th, she was married to Dr. R. F. Henry and they moved the same year to Princeville, Ill. This was a very happy union and the young physician and his wife soon won a place in the hearts of the community. To this union were born seven children, of whom, one son Howard, survives.
In the year 1855 Mrs. Henry united with the Princeville Presbyterian Church by letter and her husband unite three years later. Dr. Henry because of his sterling character as a man and his consecrated will, was soon chosen to serve the church in the office of eldership, which office he held for more than forty years.
It can be truly said by old and young, by rich and poor, that to know Mrs. Henry was to love her and to be loved in return.
Of late years her life has fast been ripening to be garnered home and although desire to live for the sake of her loved ones, she was really getting homesick for heaven and the glad reunion time. She will be missed by the church she loved and which love her. Always faithful, always present, always mindful of her Lord's work, she leave a most worthy example to her relatives and friends to imitate.
The memories and fragrance of this life will remain. Having lived so saintly a life on earth she is today the crowned victor in the heavenly courts.
The funeral service were conducted in the Presbyterian Church on Thursday afternoon by the pastor, the Rev. Max B. Miles, after which she was laid to rest in the village cemetery.
