Mildred Bailey Mitchell, 96, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020.

Mildred was born on February 3, 1924 in Magnolia Springs, AL. She was the eldest of 7 children. Mildred was a graduate of Pensacola High School and was employed for 40 years as a Lab Technician at St. Regis Paper Company. She was a member of Heights Baptist Church for many years. She was a wonderful sister, had a sweet spirit, and was generous in many ways. Mildred was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur H. & Maude Polk Bailey; brothers, Willard (Ruth-deceased) and Bill (Betty); sister, Edna Wehmeier (Buddy-deceased).

She is survived by sisters, Doris Inge (Roy-deceased), Drucilla Belich (Linwood-deceased) and Glenda Crooke (George); as well as her brother, J.C. Inman. Mildred had no children of her own, however, was 2nd mom to her many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 11:00am until the funeral service to begin at 12:00noon Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Nott officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will be planned at a later date due to the Corona Virus. Masks are required.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Rick Bailey, Keith Belich, Kevin Belich, Donnie House, Don Inge, and David Wehmeier.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Heights Baptist Church.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Barbara French, the nurses at Home Health Care, Emerald Coast Hospice, Council on Aging, and Frances, Tourwanna, Kathy, Kierra, Laura, and Juana.
