She was a member of the Central Baptist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was employed as a beautician until her retirement. Preceding her in death were her husband: Wayne Mitchell, and her parents, a brother: William John Charles, Jr, "Chubby" and a sister: Cora Lou Street.
