Mrs. Virginia Hallman Bailey, age 85, of Lancaster, passed away December 4, 2020, at Roper Hospital in Charleston, SC.

Mrs. Bailey was born on November 22, 1935, in Lancaster, SC, a daughter of the late Grady Hallman and Wilma Holden Hallman and was the wife of the late James E. Bailey.

Mrs. Bailey enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers, camping and traveling. She loved her family dearly and loved playing with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Bailey is survived by two daughters, Nancy Hagins (Michael) of Charleston, SC, and Regina “Gina” Prince (Jimmy) of Monroe, NC; three grandchildren, Karen Perry (Zane), Megan Barringer, and Adam Barringer; four great-grandchildren, Zane Perry, Jr., Timothy Perry, Emily Perry, and Abraham Smith; and two sisters, Doris Hudson, and Linda Adams.

Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James E. Bailey; a grandson, Samuel Hagins; and her parents.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Bailey will be 11:00 am Monday, December 14, 2020, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, Charlotte/The Carolinas Office, 222 South Church Street, Suite 336M, Charlotte, NC 28202.
