Matilda Clara Watkins married first Robert Montgomery Flanakin circa 1854 in Louisiana. I have been unable to find a burial location for him but he died January 1, 1873 reportedly in Shelby County, Texas. Matilda married second, Needham Brown Lee July 4, 1882 in Sabine Parish, Louisiana. This was a third marriage for Needham B. Lee. It is only briefly mentioned in his family histories and perhaps for good reason. The 1900 census shows Matilda Lee living alone in Sabine Parish and listed as widowed however Needham is still very much alive and also living in Sabine Parish but moving about to reside with family members. He died in 1914 but is not found in the 1900 census.
