John Thomas Marley, Age 90, of Greenfield/Wilkinson went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 26th, 2020.

Born on November 3, 1930 in Indianapolis IN. He was the son of Fred C. & Nellie Marley. He was preceded in death by his wife Beulah with her passing in May of 2012. Also preceding his death were his brothers Walter Marley, Joe Marley, Mike Marley and sisters Dorothy Stegar and Anna Mae Pride and daughter Althea Holt.

Surviving him is his son, John C. Marley (Janice) of Wilkinson; brother Claude Marley (MaryEllen) of Frankfort; stepdaughters Debra Hiday (Rod) of Fortville; Nancy Marshall (Doug) of Markleville. Along with 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

John retired from Chrysler in 1988 after 34.5 years. He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church. One of John’s passion through his years was baseball. He was an umpire in District 7 Warren Little League for 33 years. John’s other passion in life was running field trial beagles. He was a member of the Hoosier Beagle Club for more than 50 years as a trial judge and avid participant in trials. He spent his retirement waiting for every Spring when he could jump on his lawn mower and start cutting the grass. He enjoyed spending his days watching his western shows. John never met a stranger and always had a story to share about his many adventures whether it was riding Bronco’s in the rodeo, riding his Indian motorcycle, or working the sale barns with his brother Walter. He truly lived a full life and always had a kind word or story for anyone willing to sit and spend time with him. John will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He left a big impression on all those that knew him, and our lives are more fulfilled by our time spent with him. As a reminder, the government mandate requires guests to wear masks when inside our building. We are limited to a capacity of 50 guests at a time and please practice social distancing.
