Walter T. Marley Sr., 89, of Avon Park died Aug. 31, 2009, in Avon Park.

Born in Indianapolis, he was a livestock auctioneer. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Avon Park.

Survivors include his sons, Tom Jr. and Ronald; sisters, Dorothy Stugarr and Anna Mae Pride; brothers, Joseph, John and Claude; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Avon Park, with Father Nick McLoughlin officiating. Internment will follow at 2 p.m. in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
