GALENA, Kan. … Elmer Lee Hussong, 76, 1220 Princeton St., was found dead at his home Wednesday, May 7, 1997, after a sudden illness.
Mr. Hussong was born April 20, 1921, at Columbus. He was a lifetime area resident. He worked at Doane Food Products, Galena, for more than 35 years. He retired in April 1986.
He married Velma Chester on Feb. 14, 1940, at Columbus. She died May 2, 1987. (sic) [1986]
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Hussong and Howard Hussong, both of Galena; a daughter, Nancy Wilson, Neosho, Mo.; three sisters, Elnora Watson, Independence, Betty Brewster, Baxter Springs, and Jewell Brazil, Anderson, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hill Crest Cemetery, Galena. The Rev. Ernie Watson will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena.
