He served in the Army Field Artillery in World War II. He was a commercial contractor & master carpenter. He was honored by the State of Illinois in 1978 for creating an innovative training workshop in woodwork & basic carpentry for mentally disabled adolescents at the Galesburg State Research Hospital. He retired from the Galesburg State Research Hospital & moved to Casa Grande in 1982.
Private services will be at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg, IL., at a later date.
