Cecil Wayne Walker passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at the age of 64. He was born in Corpus Christi, TX on October 11, 1956 to Houston Tommy Walker and Billie Louise Love Walker. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Thomas Lee Walker, and his sister Debbie Lamb.

Cecil grew up in Gonzales, TX graduating from Gonzales High School in 1977. He loved rodeoing, everything from bull riding to steer roping to clowning. If it entailed getting hurt or dirty he was all in. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting antiques.

He was the toughest, most selfless, carefree, supportive, witty, loving person. He called it like he saw it and 99% of the time was right. He loved to have a good time and would always say life was too short to stay mad.

In loving memory of Cecil, have fun every day, do what you enjoy, laugh about the good times and always remember the memories he left in our hearts.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 2, 2020 from noon until 2 p.m. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Gonzales Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jason Bonugli, Mike Svoboda, Clayton Walker, Steven Carroll, Arthur Dale Walker, Andrew Wilke, Johnny Carter Jr. and Ricky May.

Memorials may be made to: The Texas High School Rodeo Association.

Due to current CDC, State and local mandates, protective measures regarding social distancing, limited attendance capacity, and use of personal protective masks will be required for the visitation, chapel service and graveside burial rite. Those remotely symptomatic of COVID-19 are politely asked not to attend. Services are under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.
