Linda Sue Harrison, 77, of Jefferson City, Missouri passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020 at Boone Hospital Center. She was born on November 7, 1942 in Jefferson City, a daughter of the late Robert and Irene (Garnett) Hackney. She was united in marriage to Ronald “Ron” Harrison on August 30, 1963, at Elston Baptist Church.

Linda was a 1960 graduate of Jefferson City High School. After her marriage to Ron, she was blessed to be able to stay at home and raise their four sons. She later worked 15 years at St. Mary’s Hospital in patient registration. She was a faithful member of Elston Baptist Church and was active in the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU), teaching Sunday school and was the church pianist. What she enjoyed the most was spending time with her family, beautiful grandchildren and great-grandbaby. Knowing that she is at home in Heaven makes this unexpected loss bearable as her husband and family know they will be reunited someday. Linda will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years: Ron Harrison; sons: Steve Harrison (Kathy), Tim Harrison (Tanya), Jeff Harrison (Sheri) and Brian Harrison (Jennifer); grandchildren: Eric and Abby Harrison, Tyler and Jesse Harrison, Holly Reese, Faith Harrison, Alisha Dickson, Lindsey Morice, Kyle Fischer, Morgan Fischer and Lucas Harrison; and great-granddaughter: Harper Dickson. Linda was preceded in death by her brother: Jimmy Hackney and sisters: Allene Hoskins and Jackie Garriott.

Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2020 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday October 31, 2020 at Elston Baptist Church with the Rev. Verlyn Bergen officiating. Interment will follow in Centertown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that expressions of sympathy may be made to First Baptist Church of Elston.

Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 West Main Street, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109 (573) 636-3838. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.millardfamilychapels.com.
