Ronald Lee Harrison, 80, of Jefferson City, Missouri passed away on June 29, 2023 at St, Mary's Health Center, Jefferson City, Missouri. He was born on March 11, 1943 in Jefferson City; son of the late Theodore V. and Dorothy G. (Frye) Harrison, both of whom proceeded him in death. He was united in marriage at Elston Baptist Church on August 30, 1963 to Linda Sue Hackney, who proceeded him in death. Ron was a 1961 graduate of Jefferson City High School. After his marriage to Linda and while raising four sons, he earned his master's degree from Lincoln University. He owned and operated Harrison Auto Body and was an avid Car enthusiast. He worked for the Missouri Department of Emergency Management for 33 years until his retirement. He was also a teacher at the Missouri State Prison. After retirement Ron enjoyed woodworking and created many beautiful pieces of furniture. He was a faithful member of Elston Baptist Church where he was a Deacon for many years. Ron enjoyed spending time with is family and beautiful grandchildren. Knowing that he is at home in Heaven with Linda makes this unexpected loss bearable. Ron will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by sons: Steve Harrison (Kathy), Tim Harrison (Tanya), Jeff Harrison (Sheri) and Brian Harrison (Jennifer); grandchildren: Eric Harrison, Abby Harrison, Tyler (Ali) Harrison, Jesse Harrison, Holly Harrison, Faith Harrison, Alisha (Tyler) Dickson, Lindsey (Jacob) Swearingen, Kyle Fischer, Morgan Fischer and Lucas Harrison; and great-granddaughters: Brynleigh Harrison and Harper Dickson. Ron was also preceded in death by his brother: Theodore (Ray) Harrison. Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Rick Seaton. Interment will be at the Centertown Cemetery.
