Obituary:
Guy W. Briggs
Of 2508 10th St., died at 2:55 p.m. yesterday, March 13, 1973, in Mercy Hospital, where he was admitted March 2, after an extended illness. Mr. Briggs was a retired PRR conductor with 54 years' service. He was born April 23, 1878, at Warriors Mark, a son of Benjamin F. and Jennie (Grazier) Briggs, and married Edna Smith, who died March 30, 1972. Surviving are a son, Carl W. of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two grandchildren, and a brother, Victor G. of Altoona. Mr. Briggs was a member of the Trinity United Methodist church. Friends will be received in the Axe Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday.
