Edna Briggs
Of 2508 10th St., died at her home at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 1972, after a brief illness. She was born Oct. 6, 1885, in Smith Valley, Huntingdon County, a daughter of William and Laura (Parker) Smith, and married Guy W. Briggs of Altoona. Survivinig are her husband, a son, Carl W. of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two grandsons, and a sister, Mrs. Rachel Newton of Spokane, Wash. Mrs. Briggs was a member of the First United Brethren Church of Altoona. Friends will be received in the Axe Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
