Obit: unknown source. Eleanora "Nora" Baier Farrell, 91, a former Audubon resident, died January 28, 1993 at the Episcopal Hoe in Alhambra, CA. She had suffered a stroke and pneumonia. Eleanora was born February 17, 1901 in Audubon County, the 11th and youngest child of John Jacob Baier and Mary Ringlieb Baier. She grew up on a farm near Exira.

She was married Feb. 17, 1920 to Homer H Farrell, who died May 30, 1985. They had 2 daughters and a son. They lived in Iowa 21 years, mostly in Carroll and Audubon, before moving to California in 1941. They operated the Midget Cafe and the Farrell Cafe in Audubon at different times in the 1930s and early 1940s.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband were a son, Paul Eugene Farrell and a grandson, Kenneth Sherrill; her parents; 4 brothers: Albert Baier, John Baier, Ed Baier and Otto Baier; 5 sisters: Emma Brady, Ella Brady, Marie Campbell, Dora Johnson and Harriett Miller. Survivors include her children, Thelma (Leland) Keith of Belton, MO and Lola (John) Sherrill of Arcadia, CA; 3 grandchildren; 6 greatgrandchildren; a sistr, Lena Burns of Audubon and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Interment was in the Oakdale Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendora, CA.
