Mrs. Arlin Edwards Daves, 94, of Cantonment, Fla., formerly of Winona, died Monday, July 6, 1998 of heart failure at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.
Mrs. Daves was born on April 17, 1904 in Choctaw County. She was a retired school teacher and a member of First Baptist Church of Winona. Mrs. Daves was a former Sunday School teacher and had made her home in Cantonment with her daughter, Patsy Funches for the past three and one half years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey E. Daves.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 10 at Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Winona with Rev. Johnny Walker officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Winona.
Pallbearers include Dennis Kelly, Lee Kelly, Aubrey Boone, Jack Marshall, Winston Carson, and Ken Powell.
Mrs. Daves is survived by three daughters, Faye Dudley of Austin, Texas, Pasty Funches of Cantonment, Fla., and Frances Branning of Vicksburg; one son, Jimmy E. Daves of Madison; 10 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren
