Born May 26, 1939, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Velmar and Iva Mae Wilhoite Renfro. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ed Marsh, her brother Red Renfro and a grandchild. Jane Ellen was a homemaker and a devoted member of Hesler Assembly of God where she taught Sunday school for 54 years. Her personal walk with God was most important to her followed by her family. She enjoyed word searches, spending time with her family, and feeding her crow friend, Jake. She also enjoyed being "Mamaw" to all of her grandchildren.
Jane Ellen will be missed by her husband, whom she married on September 19, 1959, Edward Marsh; Her children, Darwin Renfro, Elva Dunn, Glenn Marsh, Lola Payne, Stephanie Greer, John Wilhoite, and Janie Wilhoite Morris; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who are expected soon.
McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Hesler Assembly of God on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, from 4 - 8 pm. Masks and social distancing are required. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday with Bro. Mark Wilhoite presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to Hesler Assembly of God.
