William "Red" Renfro, 65, of Owenton, died Feb. 16, 2007, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Born May 15, 1941, he was the son of the late Velmer and Iva Mae Wilhoite Renfro. He was a retired machinist from Bendix and a member of Cherry Grove Pentecostal Church where he served as a board member.

He is survived by his wife, Wavie Hammonds Renfro; two sons, Charles E. Fiscus of Dry Ridge and William Daniel Renfro of Monterey; three daughters, Angie Renfro of Lockport, Annette Howard and Jackie Gambrell of Crittenden; four brothers, Donald Gene Renfro and Velmer Renfro Jr. of Owenton, Marty Renfro of Hesler and Jackie Renfro of Worthville; seven sisters, Jane Ellen Marsh, Rosie Lee Juett, Roxie Ann Bennett, Sarah Florence McCormick, Shirley Moore and Barbara Jean Wainscott, all of Owenton, and Faye Swigert of Franklin County; a step-brother, Johnnie Hill of New Liberty; a step-sister, Fannie Dews of Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Feb. 20 at McDonald & New Funeral Homes with Bro. Larry Hammonds presiding. Burial was in Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Cherry Grove Pentecostal Church, 3605 Greenville Rd., Dry Ridge. Please visit the guest register at mcdonaldandnew.com.
