John Capko, Sr., 79, of 916 Painter Street in Streator, died March 20, 1970 at his home following a lingering illness.
He was born March 20, 1891 in Czechoslovakia. He was married in Streator at St. Stephen's Church on January 21, 1913 to Anna Micklos.
Surviving are his wife; two sons: Andrew and John Jr., both of Streator; two daughters: Mary (Jack) Moye and Florence Capko, both of Streator; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters.
He was preceded in death by one child in infancy.
He was employed by Owens-Illinois in the forming department for 41 years until retirement in 1958. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club, St. Stephen's Lodge and St. Stephen's Church.
