Funeral services for Ruby Ann Montgomery, 79, of Rayville, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the First Baptist Church, Rayville, LA. Interment will follow in the Start Cemetery, Start, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.
Mrs. Ruby Ann was born August 16, 1941 in Arcola, MS and passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 in Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Ruby Ann was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rayville, where she was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. She loved reading books and traveling.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Montgomery; parents, Chester and Ruby Barnes; and her brother, C.B. Barnes.
Survivors include her daughters, Karen Hollis and husband, Melvin, Tammy Anderson and husband, Brad, and Mandy Smart and husband, Glenn; grandchildren, Brandon Hollis and wife, Sidney, Ashley Hollis, Morgan Graham and husband, Hunter, and Becca Anderson; great grandson, Jace Hollis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Brandon Hollis, Logan Morris, Todd Morris, Tim Morris, Jordan Morris, Daren Johnson, and Chuck Barnes. Honorary pallbearers are Alan Thompson, Claude Mercer, Billy Joe Temple, Orie Gene Morris, Owen Rockett, John Knight, and Bo Hosea.
The family request donations be made to the Baptist Children's Home or the Salvation Cross.
Visitation is 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Friday, September 25, 2020 at First Baptist Church, Rayville, LA.
