The "Braymer Bee" (Braymer Mo.) carried Andrew J. Braden's obituary on 09 Jan 1914. A death unexpected to the community occurred Friday morning when A.J. Braden passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. E. Stillwell in Braymer. Mr. Braden had been in poor health for some time but his condition was not regarded as serious until 24 hours or less before his death. Mr. Braden was a native of Tennessee being born in Campbell County on Oct. 10, 1832, and was 81 years, 2 months and 22 days old at the time of his death January 2, 1914. He was married at Nicholasville, Ky., Oct. 8, 1868 to Miss Feriba Jane Campbell, and from there they removed to Richmond, Mo., in the year of 1878. In 1889, they located at Utica, which place was their home until the death of his wife July 12, 1911, after which he made his home with his children. One son and two daughter survive him, R. E. Braden of Utica, Mrs. Kate Cramer of Dawn, and Mrs. Minnie Stillwell of Braymer. Mr. Braden was a kindly and courteous gentleman held in high esteem by all who knew him and his death removes a worthy citizen and a loved and revered parent.
