Obituary - James O. Ray, 76, of 4110 Sweeny Lane, passed away Tuesday at 10:45 p.m. At Highland District Hospital. He was born April, 24, 1903 near Barbourville, Ky., the son of James and Amelia Miles Ray. He was a carpenter and a member of the Highland County Senior Citizens. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs, Kathy Olderham of Hillsboro; three sons, James of Hillsboro, Frank of Brooklyn, N. Y., and Glenn of Charleston, S. C,; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and six sisters; Mrs. Lois James and Mrs. Dorothy Stamper, both of Louisville, Ky., Mrs. Mearl Wilson, Somerset, Ky., Mrs.Dru Altsman, St. Petersburg, Fla; Mrs. Edith Ballinger, Texas, and Mrs. Martha Rogers, Barbourville, Ky. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Turner and Son Funeral Home. The Rev. John Ferguson will Officiate. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
