Gean Excell Sevy Henrie, 94, passed away September 4,2007 in Richfield. She was born May 1, 1913 in Panguitch, Utah to Henry George and Ann Marie Henrie Excell.
She married Albert D. Sevy on February 12, 1936 in the St. George Temple, he preceded her in death May 21, 1960.
Their children are Albert Dee (Suzie) Sevy of Annabella, Kay (Howard Kay,deceased) Prince of Bountiful, Sandra (Duane) Ross of Richfield and Irene(Don) Hansen of Elma, Washington; 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; brother and sister, Don (Alta) Excell, Marie (Clair) Mortensen.
She married Francis Verl Henrie on April 22, 1972 for time, in the Manti Temple. Verl's children are: McVoy (Keith) Barben of Marysvale, Connie(Clark) Brunson of Aurora, Dorothy Henrie and Donna (Roger) Waters, both of Richfield and Kathy (Boyd) Knight of Salt Lake City; 25 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.
Gean is also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Ora (Levi) Myers, Leona (Alton) Talbot, James (Hilma) Excell, Elsa (Orric) Talbot, Earl (Donetta) Excell, Irene Excell, Melvin Ballard Excell.
She was an active member of the LDS Church where she fulfilled many assignments, including temple ordinance worker, missionary, visiting teacher, Primary worker on both the ward and stake level.
She was an avid quilt maker and has made 1,875 quilt tops. She was a gracious lady and had a gift of making anyone welcome and comfortable in her home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in the Panguitch Cemetery
