Ernest Edgar Shults, 87, of Pekin died Saturday (Dec. 15, 1990) at Pekin Manor.
Born Jan. 14, 1903, in Bath to Joseph and Mary Tackman Shults, he married Rachel Taylor on Sept. 18, 1922, in Virginia, Ill. She died July 19, 1987. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Goldie) Reeves and Donna Morgan, and two sons, Alfred E. and John J., all of Pekin; and one sister, Ollie Shults of Petersburg.
He worked for 38 years at Quaker Oats of Pekin, retiring as a foreman in 1968.
Burial will be in Springlake Cemetery in Springlake.
