Goldie Frances Reeves, 89, of Pekin, passed away at 8:55 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2020 at UnityPoint Health Pekin.

Born June 5, 1931 in Pekin to Earnest and Rachel (Taylor) Shults. They preceded her in death. She married Billy Lee Reeves in May of 1948. He preceded her in death in 1995.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, two grandchildren, one great grandson, and beloved dog, Saint.

Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Priebe of Aurora, Vicky Thomas of Pekin; two grandchildren, Donald (Michelle) Thomas Jr. of Dekalb, Melissa Thomas of Bloomington; one great, Samantha Priebe of Ohio; and special friend, Sue Kovars.

Goldie was self-employed as a beautician for 40 years retiring in 1996. She was very active in Pekin Boat Club and various golf leagues in Pekin. Goldie enjoyed exercising in her free time.

Her visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday July 24, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. Graveside service will be held at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. The Pastor Simeon Raddatz will officiate.Guidelines regarding social distancing and wearing masks will be followed.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
