Nita Blake, 80, of Murphysboro passed away at 11:30 am on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 in SIH Herrin Hospital.
Nita was born on December 7, 1939 in Murphysboro a daughter to the late Cecil M. and Helen E. (Yeager) Tweedy. She was united in Marriage to Lee Blake on June 27, 1959 in Murphysboro; Lee preceded her in death on January 9, 2012.

Graveside services will be at 12:00 noon on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Murdale Gardens of Memory in Murphysboro. Those attending services should gather at the cemetery and utilize recommended social distancing guidelines.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, R. Blake and Luke of Murphysboro two sons and one daughter-in-law, T. Blake of Indianapolis, IN., and R. and L. Blake of Murphysboro, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters, Patsy of Murphysboro and Judy of Murphysboro and one brother, J. Tweedy (C.) of Murphysboro, brother-in-law and wife, R. and B. Blake of Summerfield, FL., also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Kelly Jo Blake, one son, Randal Joseph Blake, one sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Johnny Dickerson, brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Jean Tweedy, and brother-in-law Bud Roberts.
